Hexagon Metrology Ltd is part of Hexagon Measurement Technologies, a newly formed business area within the multinational Hexagon Group. The division manufactures and markets leading metrology brands such as Brown & Sharpe, CE Johansson, DEA, Leitz, Sheffield, Leica Geosystems, Romer, CimCore, CogniTens, TESA and PC-DMIS.

In total it has an installed worldwide base of more than 50,000 Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), over 4,000 articulated arms, 2,500 laser trackers, millions of hand-held instruments and over 20,000 licences for its metrology software package, PC-DMIS.

The UK arm of the multinational - which operates from purpose built premises in Telford - markets, sells and maintains all the Hexagon Group metrology brands as well as quality assured ‘any brand’ pre-owned CMMs.

The £13 million turnover company also provides a wide range of aftermarket services including CMM and software installations, calibration and training (inc National Physical Laboratory accredited dimensional training; 'common platform' metrology and manufacturing software strategies; subcontract inspection / measurement / part programming services; recalibration, retrofits and upgrades; plus ongoing service and support contracts.
